If I was going to Italy, I would pick Rome first because of the ancient ruins like the forum and the coliseum and Cremona which is the home of the most famous violin makers.

I'm Italian, so I can tell you something about Italy. Rome is one of the most wonderful cities of the world, it's full of history (Colosseum, Fori Imperiali, St Peter's Square), and every single part of Italy has gorgeous places. The most important ones are Pisa (with its famous Leaning Tower), Venice (a city on the water, you can visit it on a "gondola"), Naples, pizza's birthplace, where you can eat a fabolous pastry called "Sfogliatella".
