Where are some good student holidays in Italy or Greece?

Where are some good student holidays in Italy or Greece?
Two of my friends and I are planning on a week trip to either Italy or Greece at the end of sixth form - so we'll be eighteen. I was wondering what areas and cities would be recommended for a student visit in the summer holidays in those countries. Thank you very much :)

What are your interests? If you're looking for beaches, the area from Rimini to Gabicce Mare in Emilia Romagna are popular. You'd probably particularly like Rimini and Riccione. If you go, you can catch a bus from the Rimini train station to San Marino for a day too. Viareggio on the west coast is also popular. If you're interested in the cultural side of Italy, try Florence or Rome. For nature and scenery, you could visit Cinque Terre.

The beach areas like Rimini, Riccione or Viareggio would be good. Or there's always Rome and Florence. It really depends on your interests.

will it be in summer ? IT all depends on what you 'like'. Around the summer holidays many italians travel to their favorite beach destinations, leaving many cities dead of life! For a good lively holiday in the summer it would be best to visit these places : the island of Sardinia is a popular resort, Salerno, Rimmini just to name a few, nice beaches and lots of life. However if you want to go to a city, rome, milan and bologna have high student populations and are always lively all year round.

I think Sicily or Rome are perfect

Can I travel outside of Italy on my student visa within the Schengen countries?
I am an American citizen traveling to Italy for a year of study at the university level on a student visa. While there, I want to be able to travel to some other countries in Europe. I am unclear, even after all the research I've done, if I can do that. Can someone clear this up for me?
