Anyone living in Southern Italy wanting to host a female exchange student from New Zealand?

Anyone living in Southern Italy wanting to host a female exchange student from New Zealand?
I am currently living in a beautiful city called Pavia in Northern Italy, but I really want to experience the culture and immense beauty of southern Italy as well, the program that I am with won't let me unless I find my own host family. In just over 1 month I am due to change host family's so I am hoping to find one in the beautiful south before then :) Thanks. It doesn't necessarily have to be right down south either

I think you got more possibilities to find people that can answer this if you post this kind of question in the Italian section in any local region section. Maybe these can be useful as well http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=452236 http://boardreader.com/thread/Anyone_in_Southern_Italy_Campania_etc_b29Xez6m.html

Student living in Italy for a year - Fluency wanted, course options.?

Student living in Italy for a year - Fluency wanted, course options.?
I need a little help. I'm a UK resident, in my second last year of school and looking at my future. I want to live in Italy for one year, predominantly to learn the language. Can anyone suggest options for me? Where I can go, what can I do? I'm interested in Immersion programmes for the language, but I would like to mix with other students (preferably my age, which will be 18/19 at the time). I'm just lost. Thanks for any help.

The best thing you can do is to translate this question in Italian and post it on it.answers.yahoo.com, where many Italians will hurry to answer to you. I can just say two things: * There are students exchange programs both at high school level and at university level. Ask at your school in UK. * There is an Italian university that is specialized in enrolling foreign students, at Perugia: http://www.unistrapg.it/english/

Too much for what you get! It's not exactly a scam. It does put on a legitimate trip that's quite a bit of fun. However, it's not as exclusive as it makes itself out to be -- thousands of those "ambassador" letters go out every year. The trips are also horribly overpriced. You would be much better served taking that money and putting it toward a semester (or better yet, year) exchange program! It would benefit you so much more -- and for the rest of your life! You would learn a language, a culture and attend school in another country. Is P2P a fun trip, yes. But IMHO is it worth the money? No.

The decision of granting you the visa to visit Italy (rather schengen visa) is independent of ur stay in UK, as far as ur have 180 days visa remaining for UK in ur passport & you have sufficient funds in ur bank to prove that u can support urself while u r in Italy. So of course u are eligible for visa, only if visa officer is happy to grant you a visa. Good luck.
