Student behaviour in italy?
I've been accepted into university in Italy and should be leaving in a few months. I want to know how students are expected to behave in italy, how they should dress, what to do and what not to do and whatever else is considered as good advice for an indian student going to study in italy! Thanks for ur reply... appreciate ur help.

They dress well, study, enjoy life. They will drink, but not to excess, and some will take mild drugs. They are normal people.

Well you should dress ok but there's not an official dress code. As for behaviour, just be polite and friendly. With Professors you have to be very formal, especially when writing letters or emails, call him "Gentile Prof. Rossi". There are a lot of things to do, you can go out for a walk, go to a pub, go to a pizzeria to eat, ice-cream, discos, almost everything. Italians are very friendly if you know how to talk to them. Get a Facebook account if you don't have one - Italian students really love Facebook and it is a good way to get in touch with someone. Don't pretend the same organisation you will find in the United Kingdom or in Germany, but some Italian Universities are really ok.
